     Henry H. Macaulay was born in 1875 at Irvine, Ayrshire.

     Patrick B.M. Macaulay was born in 1882 at Irvine, Ayrshire. He was listed in the census as an Arts Student in 1901.

     Janetta M.R. Macaulay was born in 1889 at Ayrshire.

     Euphemia B.E. Macaulay was born in 1890 at Edinburgh.

     Robert S.D. Macaulay was born in 1894 at Ayrshire.

     Charles Edward Balfour was born on 17 October 1849 at Leuchars, Fife. He married Emily Stirratt, daughter of David Stirratt and Sarah Elizabeth McIntyre, before 1902. Charles Edward Balfour was baptized in 1903; in a Newark Episcopalian Church as Percy Charles Edward Douglas Balfour, Charles Edward for his father and Douglas for his father's twin brother. He dropped the given names Percy and Douglas around 1920. He died on 16 December 1906 at Newark, New Jersey, USA, at age 57.

     Thomas Cutlar Balfour was born in 1848 at Leuchars, Fife. He was founding partner for some 20 years of Balfour, Lyon y Cia, Valparaiso and Vina del Mar, a company that became the third or fourth largest Chilean producer of railway rolling stock during the last quarter of the 19th centure. He was a foundry entrepreneur and merchant financier. In 1890, Thomas returned to Fife and became Managing Director of Henry Balfour Limited, a foundry activity in the South Fife coastal area of Largo. It was in this area that the Balfour ancestors had established themselves as substantial leasehold farmers c 1775. Henry Balfour Ltd. had been created in Leven in c 1815 as Durie Foundry by Henry Balfour, son of a former Provost of Dundee and father of the Henry Balfour who created the limited company in 1885. circa 1868. "Tom Balfour had gone home in 1885 and came out for a short time in 1888, when I went home. He returned for a visit in 1898, but was evidently suffering from some mental trouble; some friend had offended him in some way, a stab in the back, he told me it was. I believe it was nothing, or something very slight, but it preyed on his mind so much that this finally gave way. One day in January 1900 he was in Edinburgh and went to one of the asylums there and asked to be taken in, as he was feeling bad. They said they could not take him in without a doctor's certificate. He then went and threw himself over the Deane Bridge and died a few days afterwards in the Edinburgh Infirmary." (From the Reminiscences of William M. Ogilvie.)

     Sir Robert Balfour Bart. was born in 1844. He was founding partner partner of Balfour, Guthrie & Co., San Francisco, California. Subsequent to his return to Liverpool in 1894 he was a partner in Balfour, Williamson & Co., later opening the Group's office in London, and running the Group until WWI. He was Liberal MP for the Partick Constituency in Glasgow between 1906 and 1922. He died in 1929.

     John Balfour was born in 1846 at Largo, Fife. He was Provost of Leven circa 1866. He lived in 1875 at Elmslea House and later at Carberry House when it was bequeathed to him by his younger brother Thomas Cutlar. He died in 1926 at Leven.

     Lionel Maxwell Joachim Balfour was born in 1906 at London, England. He was pioneer in British Aviation industry in the 1930's and '40's. See his son, Christopher's book "Spithead Express" about his father's career in the UK aviation industry. He married Lady Myrtle Grace Brocas Jellicoe, daughter of Admiral John Henry Rushworth Jellicoe 1st Earl Jellicoe, on 11 June 1932. Lionel Maxwell Joachim Balfour died in 1973.

     Lady Myrtle Grace Brocas Jellicoe was born on 28 August 1908. As of circa 1930,her married name was Lady Balfour. She married Lionel Maxwell Joachim Balfour, son of Maxwell (Max) Balfour and Nina Joachim, on 11 June 1932. She died on 10 Nov 1945 at age 37.

     Rachel Ellen Julia Balfour was born in 1907 at Chelsea, London. As of circa 1930,her married name was Tatham. She married Wilfrid Tatham circa 1930. Rachel Ellen Julia Balfour was retired circa 1970 at Island of St. Helena, South Atlantic,where Wilfrid died. Rachel returned to England and resided at the Abbey Nursing Home in Amesbury, nr. Salisbury, Wiltshire, until she passed away. She died circa 1985.

     Alan Scott Balfour was born in 1894 at Birkenhead, Cheshire. He died in 1918 killed in action in World War I.

     John Herbert Balfour was born in 1896. He died in 1963.

     Charles Edward Balfour was born on 2 September 1902 at Newark, New Jersey. He married Jane Deborah Barratt, daughter of James Whitford Barratt, in 1939; at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in North Baltimore. Charles Edward Balfour died in 1956 at Baltimore, Maryland.

     Her married name was Balfour. Jane Deborah Barratt was born on 22 February 1914 at Clearfield, Pennsylvania. She married Charles Edward Balfour, son of Charles Edward Balfour and Emily Stirratt, in 1939; at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in North Baltimore. Jane Deborah Barratt died on 23 October 1985 at Baltimore, Maryland, at age 71.

     Her married name was Balfour. Emily Stirratt was born in 1863 at New York City. She married Charles Edward Balfour, son of James Balfour and Isabella Hutchison, before 1902. Emily Stirratt died in 1937 at New Jersey.

     David Stirratt was born circa 1828 at Lanarkshire, England. He was a Scottish merchant circa 1850. He immigrated circa 1850 to New York City. He married Sarah Elizabeth McIntyre before 1863.

     Sarah Elizabeth McIntyre was born circa 1840. She married David Stirratt before 1863. As of before 1863,her married name was Stirratt.
